Empowerment and Mentorship Programs

Rebuilding Confidence, One Connection at a Time

At Crisis Movement Support Services, we believe that healing and growth begin with community, connection, and safe spaces. Our Empowerment and Mentorship Programs are thoughtfully designed to restore a sense of normalcy, confidence, and joy for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence and their children.

Monthly Community Connection Tours

Dates to be announced. To reserve your spot or receive updates, please email us at info@crisismovementsupports.ca

Each month, mothers and their children are invited to join us for a Community Connection Tour at one of Saskatchewan’s welcoming community centers. These gatherings are more than just outings they are carefully curated experiences intended to offer survivors a break from daily stress and a chance to feel safe, supported, and seen.

What to Expect:

  • Relaxed, Judgment-Free Environment: These tours are intentionally informal. Mothers can explore the space, sip coffee or tea, chat with other participants, and take a breath without pressure.

  • Support Staff On Site: A dedicated social worker or caseworker will be present during each tour. They’ll offer gentle guidance, emotional support, and any help needed to ensure the outing is positive and nurturing.

  • Child-Friendly Activities: Age-appropriate activities or play areas will be available for children, allowing them to engage, have fun, and connect with others in a safe space.

  • Building a Sense of Normalcy: Whether it’s learning about local resources, joining a short group walk, enjoying a Storytime session, or simply sitting together in community these moments help rebuild routines, trust, and resilience.

  • Mentorship Opportunities: Over time, women who have participated in our programs may choose to become mentors for newer members, creating a cycle of empowerment and peer-led healing.

Why It Matters:

Survivors often experience isolation, disrupted routines, and a lack of safe opportunities to bond with their children outside the home. These monthly meetups help reintroduce the idea that joy, connection, and rest are possible and deserved. This will be a great way for survivors to see that they are not alone but there is a community of other individuals are striving and thriving to
