Nourish & Heal Program
Because healing starts with nourishment.
Food insecurity is a common barrier for survivors of domestic violence, especially during periods of transition. Our Nourish & Heal Program offers thoughtful, stigma-free food support to ensure that no family has to choose between safety and sustenance.
What the Program Includes:
-
Emergency Grocery Support: Prepaid grocery cards or food hampers delivered in partnership with local food banks and grocers.
-
Hot Meal Support: Access to ready-made meals through shelter partners or meal delivery for families in temporary accommodations.
-
Culturally Appropriate Options: Food support tailored to respect cultural, dietary, or allergy-related needs.
-
Cooking & Wellness Workshops: Monthly sessions on affordable meal prep, nutrition, and kitchen confidence—creating space for connection and empowerment.
-
Referral-Based Access: This service is accessed through your caseworker or social worker, ensuring a confidential and needs-based approach.
Why It Matters:
A warm meal or stocked pantry can offer more than nourishment—it offers relief, dignity, and the reassurance that someone cares. This program is part of our holistic commitment to rebuilding lives, one act of care at a time.
