Storage and Transportation Support

Providing Practical Solutions for Safe Transitions

At Crisis Movement Support Services, we understand that safety, stability, and dignity go hand-in-hand. During times of transition especially when fleeing domestic violence practical concerns like transportation and safe storage of personal belongings can become overwhelming. That’s why we offer Storage and Transportation Support, designed specifically to meet the unique needs of individuals and families seeking safety and a fresh start.

Individuals must be actively working with a case worker, social worker, or authorized support agency to access our services. This process helps us maintain safety, confidentiality, and effective service delivery for those in crisis.

What This Service Offers:

  • Compassionate Transportation Assistance:
We coordinate and provide transportation services to help clients safely move themselves and their belongings. Whether you're transitioning into a shelter, a transitional housing unit, or moving essential items into temporary storage, our team is here to support you every step of the way.

  • Secure Short-Term Storage Solutions:
In partnership with trusted community organizations, we offer short-term storage options where clients can safely store personal belongings during times of crisis or relocation. Storage terms are arranged based on individual circumstances and agreed durations, ensuring flexibility and peace of mind.

  • Caseworker-Led Referrals:
To access this service, clients must be actively working with a caseworker or social worker, who will assess the need and submit a referral form on their behalf. This ensures services are tailored to each client’s unique situation and integrated with their broader support plan.

  • Taxi Coupon Assistance (Case-by-Case):
For clients who require immediate transportation whether to appointments, shelters, or service agencies taxi coupons may be issued as part of the support plan. This is determined on a case-by-case basis, with prioritization given to urgent safety needs and lack of access to public transportation.

Why This Service Matters:

Survivors of domestic violence often leave their homes under immense pressure, with little time to organize or transport essential belongings. Without secure storage or reliable transportation, many are forced to abandon important items documents, clothing, children's toys that hold not just practical value, but emotional importance.

By removing these logistical barriers, our Storage and Transportation Support empowers clients to focus on healing and rebuilding, knowing their belongings are safe and their journey is supported.

Our Vision:

This isn’t just about moving items it’s about moving lives forward with dignity. Every ride, every stored box, is a step toward stability and self-reliance. Through care-driven coordination and community partnerships, we help ensure no one has to face transition alone.
